The Envisalink EVL-4EZR device looks very promising, however I have some questions/concerns that still remain before I purchase one:
Why is it necessary to create an EyezOn account in order to send/receive email alerts? I have used other internet security devices that can be configured directly with the customer's email server and account information, so that no extra account is required with the device's manufacturer. Note I am only interested in the free alert service.
What information does the EyezOn's central management system see and/or retain when an email alert is sent from a customer's home alarm system?
How is EyezOn's database of customer account and home alarm on/off status information protected from hackers?
